5 Unique & Modern Dog Houses
There is more and more demand for a modern form of sleeping place for dogs and cats.
For this article we looked for some modern applications, which also form a beautiful eye-catcher for the home and/or garden.
1. DEAUVILLE PET HOUSE
Bad Marlon the South Korea-based brand comes up with a range of minimalist, design-forward animal enclosures. Our favourite is the Deauville House, which is built from environmentally friendly wood and is held together by super-strong magnets, enabling rapid and toolless assembly.
Cutouts let pets peek into the outside world while a polyester pillow provides a comfortable bed to sleep on.
2. M.PUP PET HOUSE

ungji Mun designed this modern home for the Korean pet designers of m.pup.
The m.pup Pet House is made of birch plywood with a removable inner cushion that is available in different colors.
3. LAMBERT&MAX PET HOUSE
This collection of modern pet houses are inspired by the Swiss mountains.
Like the famous Swiss mountain known for its steep north face, the Eiger's home has an oblique shape that creates a more private interior that's perfect for pets who like to hide.
4. PETTEL EFFECT BED
The Effect bed, designed by PETTEL from Moscow, is a modern bed for cats and small dogs. This contrasting mix of dark and light wood catches the eye. The handmade daybed is inspired by the key features of Scandinavian design: precise lines, minimalism and preference for natural materials.
The Effect bed is made up of MDF, oak veneer, ash wood. The daybed comes with a soft grey mat with a removable (fleece/polyester) slip-cover. Available in 2 sizes: XS (for mini-pets) and S (for small pets).
5. FORD'S NOISE-CANCELING KENNEL
Car manufacturer Ford is developing a noise-cancelling kennel for sensitive dogs.
The prototype was designed with fireworks in mind and is made with the same noise reduction technology used in cars and headphones.
Microphones in the kennel can detect the sound of fireworks, then emit opposite frequencies through built-in loudspeakers to reduce the noise level and prevent the vibration of a loud fireworks blast.
